Vintage Conn Director Wood Bb Clarinet - Great Shape - Serial # 627198

This is a sweet vintage Conn Director model Bb clarinet, serial number 627198. This is a nice playing clarinet and is a great alternative option to the traditional French style clarinets. Particularly well suited for jazz, this is a free blowing and full sounding instrument.

Owing to its age, this clarinet does shows some scratches and minor nicks here and there, but I see no evidence of past cracks or repairs to its wood body. Keywork is smooth under your fingers. This clarinet came to us in older pads, and is currently in our repair shop in line for a complete overhaul. We'll replace all pads and material and put the instrument back in perfect playing shape.

In a market dominated by a small group of manufacturers, this is a great alternative for the player wanting something different. Ships in its original vintage case, which also remains in great shape.
