Very Pretty! Selmer Series 9 Bb Clarinet – 1960, Serial # S2028

This is a nice Selmer Series 9 Bb clarinet, serial number S2028. The clarinet was manufactured in 1960 and is still in beautiful condition. Its body joints are both in fantastic condition and have never seen  cracks or crack repair. All of the key work is also intact and in good shape with some light play wear from years of use. The bell and 66.5mm barrel are also in very nice condition. 

 

The S9 came into the shop playing nicely on a set of good pads. It is currently awaiting a professional set up in our shop to ensure it is in perfect playing condition for the next owner. The set-up will include a thorough cleaning and regulation of all the key work with replacement of some needed key materials. 

 

These clarinets are a favorite among jazz players and wood wind doublers. The larger bore allows for a substantial  amount of air to be put through them. This one ships out in perfect playing condition. It came with a nice and light back pack case as well as the original Selmer case.
