This is a nice early 70s vintage Selmer Paris Series 10 clarinet in Bb, serial # X3278. This was Selmer's top-of-the-line pro model clarinet in its day, featuring a grenadilla wood body. It has a larger bore than most clarinets today, and is a great option for doublers, pit gigs, and jazz clarinetists looking for a bigger, more robust sound.
This instrument shows no cracks or previous crack repairs that I can find, and only nominal finish wear on the keys for its age, as seen in the photos. Everything is solid from top to bottom, and it has its original barrel and bell as well. The instrument came to use in a double case with room for your A, but we'd be happy to put it in a new Protec MAX series case at no charge, if you prefer. Just let us know during purchase.
This clarinet has had pads replaced as needed over the years, but it has been some time since it was fully overhauled, so it will get the star treatment in our shop. We'll take it all apart, clean and oil it, replace all pads and material, and perform a precise key regulation, so that it feels like a million bucks when we are done. All work is included in the price to make sure it comes to you in perfect playing shape.
If you've been looking for a dependable clarinet for those gigs where you need more volume, this clarinet will not disappoint.
