Buffet Crampon Tosca Bb Clarinet, Serial #550840 – Low Price

This is a used Tosca Bb clarinet by Buffet Crampon, serial number 550840. These are great instruments for professionals to pick up in the used market for their features and incredible sound! The Tosca model showcases silver key work with an auxiliary Eb key as well as a low F resonance key. This clarinet does include the original Tosca bell as well as the 650 and 660 barrels.

This clarinet features chromatic keywork from low E to high C and above, there is an alternate D#/G# for the left pinky, and an ergonomically enhanced register key. All the keys for the throat tones are very easy to access, so to a doubler this is a saving grace. This particular Tosca plays with a warm sound sound very rich in texture across all registers. 

 

This clarinet came in playing on a slightly older set-up and is currently awaiting a fresh set-up from our shop. While this clarinet was being used by the previous owner it did suffer a set of cracks in the upper joint. These cracks will be addressed in our shop with professional pinning while the clarinet is being set up. Once the work is complete we will update the listing and add new pictures.
